Only a temporary marriage to Haven is anything but peaceful--not to mention that they can't keep their hands off one another. Jennifer Klinec is fearless.
The uneven nature of their relationship made me uncomfortable. She also met the woman's son, Vahid, initially disliked him, but gradually built up understanding, friendship and then love. She also ran into ridiculous bureaucracy when trying to extend her visa for just 15 days. I look forward to seeing what everyone thinks about the memoir and is inspired to cook up. My edition She has a wonderful eye for domestic detail.

Vahid even took her to a camel slaughterhouse to see how the animals become meat. This should be a real adventure - for all of us! The budding relationship itself is discreetly portrayed and I did empathise with the hoops Jennifer and Vahid needed to jump through simply to be together.
